Dr. Tyra Gross

Dr. Tyra Gross, a Public Health professor at Xavier University of Louisiana, founded Ma Chere Lab. This lab was established with the goal of birth equity, something that is not experienced by Black women in America. Ma Chere Lab prioritizes the birthing experiences, health, and safety of Black mothers in order to get one step closer to their goal of birth equity.
